About The Outsiders softball

Founded in 2008, we are a Kanata-based softball team built on community, sportsmanship, and a love for the game. From summer evening double-headers to tournament weekends, we bring passion and camaraderie to every inning.

Our story since 2008

The Outsiders were brought to life in 2008 by Bob "Smash" Garlough, Eli Kassis, and Glenn Jung in Kanata, Ontario. While our roster has evolved through different seasons and life chapters, our commitment to taking the field together with high energy and mutual respect has never changed.

Fun first, semi-competitive always

Our philosophy is simple: fun always comes first, paired with a healthy, semi-competitive fire. We play hard between the foul lines, cheer each other on through every pitch, and never take ourselves too seriously when the final out is called.

Championships and sportsmanship

We take immense pride in our achievements both on and off the diamond. Alongside multiple season and tournament championships, we are two-time winners of the Kanata Hi-Tech League Sportsmanship Trophy—proof that winning means the most when played the right way.

"Playing with The Outsiders is about great ball, lifelong friendships, and having a blast every time we hit the diamond in Kanata."
